Q1 is behind us and we are well into Q2 – so now is a good time to assess your business New Years resolutions.
How are you doing on keeping your data safe? What best practices do you employ?
I would suggest a few simple things to keep in mind:
Utilize multiple lines of defense
A. Physical Security is always the first line – use a cable lock to secure both laptops and desktops. Kensington offers a full line of locks, making it easy to fulfill this simplest level of support.
i. Keep your firewall software updated
ii. Keep your virus protection updated – make sure your employees have the latest version
B. Provide your employees with an easy way to back up their data
C. Create a security policy that all employees must follow
